WE ARE THE PROS
We use broadcast-quality cameras, our operators are all experienced in filming dance & calisthenics. We understand choreography, after 40 years of experience, our work follows the flow.
Single or multi-camera shows are available. We are happy to take direction from teachers. Some teachers even request edgy crash zooms and tilts for that “video clip” look – the choice is yours!
We mix our multi-camera shows both live and in post-production, to ensure the best possible results. Multi-directional microphones are placed to get live audience responses, the clickity-clack of tap shoes, and un-amplified singing.
In our studio, we post-produce the audio for each item, bringing up room microphones where there is applause and taking them down during the routines. We do our best to eliminate all unnecessary noise.
Our unrivaled experience means that our team understands choreography, staging, acoustics, sound, lighting, and all aspects of the successful filming of a dance event. Using broadcast-quality cameras and cutting-edge equipment to capture your performances, we are trained to follow the flow of your routines and the music used. Single or multi-camera shows are available based on the number of pre-sale orders, which means that we can have all angles covered and produce exceptional footage of your performance, which you will be proud of.

Child Protection
Costello Video is experienced in working with schools and universities and we are sensitive to the childcare responsibilities of schools and staff. Therefore, we apply our own child protection policy to all projects we undertake:
- Schools are required to confirm that parents are aware of the recording in advance.
- Costello Video personnel are required to report on arrival, prior to entering the premises, and must wear identification at all times on site.
- Costello Video personnel will not work alone with children.
We Work With You
We are happy to work with teachers and take direction to provide the video you want, but we also have the skill and experience to take care of the direction and allow you to concentrate on the execution of your show while we do the filming.
Some teachers request edgy, crash zooms and tilts for a stylish ‘video clip’ look, whilst others want a sleek and elegant piece.
Either way, our cameramen are more than happy to cater for all kinds of creativity. We want you to get the video you want!
Cost
Subject to a minimum sales level, no production fees are incurred by the dance school, but we do hope that you will work with us to achieve maximum sales. Fundraising/commission options are available, and with a small addition to our base price, significant sums have been raised for the performing company or their nominated charity.
